positive attitude

Hi everyone, welcome back to Ashley Spills. Ashley, here. You can check out my last post here.

I was watching a webinar on how to grow your IT business (for my job, not personal) and it touched base on maintaining and repairing client relationships. HOWEVER, I thought, wow this is some good stuff… if only I was a computer specialist. Oh wait, I’m a writer! I started thinking about what I consistently maintain and repair in my life. Nonetheless, my attitude. Maintenance and repair for me to feel and act okay.

This is how I maintain a positive attitude

  • Good sleep
  • Practicing yoga
  • Writing
  • Walking
  • Showering
  • Washing my face
  • Seeing my friends

This is how I repair my attitude

  • Meditation
  • Eating good food
  • Cleaning
  • Watching whatever show I’m currently binging
  • Going outdoors to look at the sky

Our whole lives consist of maintaining and repairing. Literally. Whether it’s ourselves, our car, our home, our body, our relationships, our personal belongings, etc. we are always maintaining and repairing. Doesn’t that sound exhausting?

Conclusion

I’m glad I was able to pinpoint my repair mechanisms because God knows I need them. This may sound like a shocker to some, but I have an attitude that can be irritating and bossy. Only my boyfriend and, at times, my mom sees it. They have to tell me when to calm the f*ck down and fix myself before I wreck myself (lol). To the outside world and even some friends, I’m the nicest being ever with the most positive attitude every (thank you, maintenance).

I challenge you to reflect on this idea. What is one thing in your life that you have to maintain and repair? Does it take a lot of work to do it? Are you happy with the results?

Thanks for reading, xo.
