Well, I’m back in California and today marks one month since I have posted anything on my blog. Geez—that just flew by. Sorry everyone. I know you were all patiently waiting for a new post…hehe just kidding 🙂

Hi beautiful readers, welcome back to Ashley Spills. Ashley, here. You can check out my other posts here.

It’s not that I didn’t want to post, I honestly just didn’t know what to post even though I’ve had all these new experiences. I can tell you about my adventures in Colombia, or my family time in Peru. I could tell you more about my job. There is honestly so much to write about it, but I can’t seem to write anything down.

Does anyone relate? I think the most stressful thing about writing a blog post for me is EDITING it. And posting it is even worse because I cannot edit my own writing and I ALWAYS FIND TYPOS just waiting to be found… It’s so annoying LOL. Please bare with me.

…See what I did there? It’s bear with me. Okay I’m done joking. Let’s get down to business.

On top of all that, I have barely passion planned. This is SUPER unlike me. I’ve been passion planning for four years now. So what’s a girl who has so much to write about, write about tonight?

I know just the thing. I actually started this in the Notes app on my phone. It’s about getting a different opinion on things that occur in life. This can be anywhere from food to clothes to a fight someone is having. Anything. Everyone houses their own thoughts. But who’s willing to share them?

A different opinion

I’ve been having great conversations with a good friend of mine. And I’ve realized that the more people you get to know and the more opinions you seek are all for good reason. Sometimes getting a different opinion is helpful to understand situations that are unclear to you and other parties involved.

I’d like to think I know it all, but I obviously don’t and the voices around me aren’t necessarily limited, but similar to mine because I have them in my life for a reason—we have things in common and think alike. The closer I’m becoming to this person, the more I am realizing that other viewpoints are important in unraveling certain sentiments and more. Especially if that person is different than you, or in another place in life. This is notable because I’ve come to truly soak in that my opinions aren’t the only ones that matter.

Everyone has their own judgment and feelings. Everyone loves or hates differently. We are all so unique in our own way and it starts with our mindset—our beautiful thinking. I’m not the only one going through life changes, self-discovery, and more. The older we get, the more we see what and whom we have time for. Understanding and witnessing things with someone else—better yet—because of someone else is truly a blessing.

Next blog post topic: Gossip

I want to write more but I’m honestly pooped. In my next blog post I want to write about gossiping. Do we love or hate it? It has such a negative connotation, but at times it’s good to just let it out. At least that’s how I feel.

Also, I do have a ton to share about Peru and Colombia. I’ll get there. Thank you so much for your patience.

Thanks for reading, xo.
