Hi everyone, welcome to my April blog feature: Find Your Light! I’m super excited to have you all learn more about this business that embodies holistic healing through meditation, community, love, and so much more!
Meet Erika, the founder and owner of Find Your Light 🙂
Find Your Light Healing is a community where we connect and honor a safe space, authenticity, and vulnerability. It’s a movement to look within and embrace our own unique light. Through these intentions, we can build a community of support and encouragement to live in alignment of our truest self. FYL was born on a Libra Full Moon. It was when a group of 20 women came together over a plant based dinner. We laughed with open hearts, and released so much of what we hold in.
There was this magical energy that illuminated our hearts and opened our mind. It was so healing to feel that we built this as a community. So as each moon has passed since then, it’s been Find Your Light’s mission to keep holding these spaces and build connections with the community. I truly believe that it makes the world and our own worlds a better place to live in.
Holistic healing
As FYL has grown, I have been able to expand holistic healing services with reiki, tarot, astrology, sound healing, and my next launch: coaching. I personally love learning about healing tools to heal your mind, body, and soul. I believe if we do at least one thing for each, that we can feel balanced and at peace with ourselves. If you’re looking for guidance in your healing journey, I would love to hold space for you. Whether it be joining us in the community or booking a one on one session, FYL holds space for you.
My greatest accomplishment in my life so far has been seeing the growth and self love in each person I have met and crossed paths with FYL at any point in their life. So, each day, I focus on spreading that light to as many people as I can.
(Ashley, here—I wanted to spice things up and ask Erika a few questions about self-awareness and self-care.)
What does being self-aware mean to you?
Self-aware, in my experience, is taking notice of who you are and who you want to be. It’s a check-in process with thy self. It’s being mindful and clear, if our choices, actions, words, thoughts, or feelings are validated and acknowledged. I feel like when we learn to strengthen our relationship with being self-aware, we can embody our authentic nature of our own energy. When we don’t practice being self-aware, our authentic-self is ignored and forgotten. When we check in with ourselves and we are aware of what’s happening internally, we can then make the choice if we want it to be a part of our self expression or not.
Why do you think it’s important to understand your feelings and emotions in holistic healing?
Our emotions and feelings share with us the magic of being a human. We can feel what is right and what is wrong. Our emotions share with us how we feel about people, situations, or ourselves. I think it’s important to understand them because in a way it’s understanding ourselves and the world around us.
What self-care activities do you indulge in?
Personally, my self-care activities include meditation, card readings, playing my sound bowls, and journaling. It allows me to get in touch with my intuition, my inner voice, and how I truly feel. I highly recommend these activities, especially for empaths because they connect spiritually with the world and these self-care activities help us get in touch with connection. I also recommend anyone to try these because you get to explore a unique experience that your soul and heart may be looking for.
